>>The project adopts a clear position and argues for a sustainability-based approach as a success strategy.

The project wants, in various ways, to highlight the positive forces that can be stimulated and to strive to shift development towards a more sustainable society, in which value creation shares the same status as long-term value increase for the population at large – measured in terms of health, the environment, prosperity and welfare. In this context it is important to present good, concrete examples from real life.

The project wishes to support and encourage greater collaboration between regional and local growth initiatives and public health initiatives. The objectives are:
  • Greater collaboration between growth, health and welfare, both regionally and locally.
  • To illustrate how regional growth processes, local business development and public health can prove one another with mutual support.
  • An improved, broader process of regional development programmes with a greater focus on sustainability-related aspects.
  • Greater awareness of the properties, opportunities and deficiencies of indicators.
